PUTRE

Frequently asked questions

Short answers, no runaround.

What is PUTRE?

A streaming guide and indie film community. One place to find what to watch across the services you already pay for, organized into human-made playlists, with indie films and shorts beside the big stuff.

Is PUTRE free?

Yes. Sign in, pick your services, browse. You watch inside your own streaming subscriptions.

What devices is PUTRE on?

Which streaming services does it work with?

Netflix, Hulu, Max, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Paramount+, Peacock, and free sources like YouTube. Every title deep-links straight into the right app.

Does PUTRE replace my subscriptions?

No. PUTRE is the guide, not the pipes. It tells you what's worth watching on what you already have, then opens the right app to play it.

How does watching on my TV work?

Pair your phone with your TV. On Roku, PUTRE connects over your home Wi-Fi (no TV app needed) and Watch on TV opens the streaming app on the exact title. Other TVs pair by QR code.

What are curators?

People who build public playlists by mood, genre, director, or era. Anyone can make playlists for friends; approved Public Curators get a public profile and a spot in the directory.

How do filmmakers get on PUTRE?

Submit a finished short for free. PUTRE curates for quality; approved films get a gold indie badge beside major titles and are eligible for the monthly Indie of the Month vote. More on the For Filmmakers page.

Can I fund filmmakers through PUTRE?

That's the roadmap. Today the monthly vote features the winner; we're building toward members directly helping fund the filmmakers they vote for.
